Once again the Broke and Bookish have challenged us reading folk to compile a list: this week our favourite books we’ve read this year so far. Many of these are upcoming reviews – something to look forward to!
- Dark, compelling and sharp.
- Moving and unparalleled.
- Adorable, fun and I want to go there!
- As Austenland, but with a darker twist.
- Magical and dreamlike.
- Too much fun.
- Important and fascinating.
- Real and witty.
- Tongue in cheek and modern.
- Classic and melodramatic.
What’s the best book you’ve read so far this year? Comments please!
Blackbirds is on my TBR list somewhere, and I read and liked Austenland, so I will have to look up the sequel.

Midnight in Austenland is pretty different: more Northanger Abbey meets Agatha Christie, but Elizabeth Charming is still in it and she’s a hoot.

I haven’t read any of these. But I did see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway! lol. The real Broadway, in NY. đŸ™‚

I’d love to see Phantom – it seems like a lot’s different from the book.
